No Sketching Allowed: Lizi Hill
Inspired by the V&A's ban on sketching & photography, which caused an uproar throughout the art community in 2016, in response to this in Jersey Lizi Hill will be encouraging everyone to come in to CCA Galleries International and interact and enjoy the art on offer there, and explore the notion of capturing the essence of artwork exhibited in Galleries.
"Whenever I visit an exhibition I take my sketchbook to record new ideas and to help me look closer at the work. Sketching helps you to appreciate and understand the pieces in more depth. Not only is it fun, but it's also informative, and I wanted to bring this practice to the public to increase their enjoyment and appreciation of Art."
Paper and pencils will be provided, however you are welcome to bring your own sketchbook and materials if you want to.
Spaces are limited to 12 so please email Lizi at [email protected] to book your place on the workshop.
FREE and suitable for all ages.
Please be aware that CCA Galleries does not have wheelchair access.
Open Studio: Thursday 30th June
