De-mystifying Original Prints: Talk with CCA Galleries Managing Director Gillian Duke

De-mystifying Original Prints: Talk with CCA Galleries Managing Director Gillian Duke

What is an original print? Gillian Duke studied printmaking at Farnham College of Art and as Managing Director of CCA has published print editions by many of the UK's leading artists. She will de-bunk all the common misconceptions about printmaking: How can a print be an original work of art? Why do some prints have the letters AP, SP or HC on them instead of an edition number? What is the difference between an etching, a silkscreen or a digital print? Prints are just made by machines aren't they, how is the artist involved? Can prints be a good investment? Why would an artist make a print when they could make a painting? How do I know my print is authentic? Join us at CCA Galleries International for the answer to all these questions and more.
