Breaking Ice - Nicholas Romeril - Journey through the Antarctic Talks.

Nicholas Romeril will give an informal, illustration presentation about the Artist in Residency for the Friends of Scott Polar Research Institute he was awarded in 2018. He traveled to the Antarctic peninsula on board HMS Protector with the Royal Navy.  Nicholas will talk about his experiences, motivations and working practise to create over 200 paintings/drawings and birtual reality movies. Questions are welcome during the talk.

Wooden Fish Painting with Katherine Cadin

Come and join me to paint a unique wooden fish hanging from your home. We will be using the beautiful Aboriginal technique of “dot” painting, using different tools to add colour and design, and then customise with handmade ceramic beads and local driftwood. No painting experience is necessary, just bring an apron and your enthusiasm!  The workshop will take place at St Catherines Sailing Club on the water’s edge.  Weather permitting, the workshop may take place outdoors, overlooking the sea.
