Drawing and Painting Competition for Young Artists

Julia Renault will be holidng a Drawing and Painting Competition for Young Artists to tie in with her workshops during her Open Studios at Communicare during the West weekend of Open Studios (25th + 26th June). Please find the competition entry requirements below:

Drawing and painting showcase: 'From A Young Viewpoint'

Painting or drawing on paper or card support. Maximum size A4. No digital art, photography or collage.

Free entry but you must include an addressed envelope and correct postage if you would like your picture returned. 

The picture must be your own original artwork. It must not have been produced as part of a school or college curriculum. You must ordinarily be a resident of Jersey in the Channel Islands. You may interpret the title of the showcase From A Young Viewpoint in any way you chose. Art based on your own observations will be given preference when the selection is made for the showcase. 

There are three age categories:

Ages 4 to 7 years

Ages 8 to 12 years

Ages 13 to 17 years

Free entry but you must include an addressed envelope and correct postage if you would like your picture returned. No responsibility will be accepted for artwork lost or damaged in transit. Please be sure to attach a competition label securely to the back of your work.  Competition labels will be available at Communicare. For additional supplies of competition labels please email [email protected] Certificate will be included with your returned artwork after the showcase. 

The closing date for entries is 15 July 2016. Artwork may be posted to Julia Renault, Art Studio, Communicare, La Route Des Quennevais, St Brelade, Jersey JE3 8LJ. The showcase results, with photographs, will be announced on www.juliarenault.com in August 2016.
