Nicholas Romeril is a Jersey based artist with international connections. In 2017 he exhibited in London (Chris Beetles Gallery), Tatton Park (RHS Flower Show) and Switzerland (Thomas Dutoit Gallary). He was accepted as the Artist in Resident for the Friends of the Scott Polar Research Institute. The 2018 residency is sponsored by Bonhams and the Royal Navy. He will travel on the HMS Protector to the Antarctic. He will create visual research on the ship so that he can develop a series of new work inspired by the Antarctic. Nicholas will exhibit a selected series of studies and new work created in collaboration with Flux.
"The Skipton Open Studios will the first chance to see some of the paintings, sketchbooks and the first cut of the VR film I shot while on the ship. The VR film is in collaboration with Flux who lent me the camera and will edit and produce the film."
